LGD is Livestock Guardian Dog. The Turkish Kangal LGD was just what we were looking for in a guardian for our goats. Misty Acres Farm and Kennel is one of the finest dog breeding places I've ever heard about. Char and Ed Luthy do a spectacular job with their dogs, and their customers, too.

Here she is 8 weeks old and new to our place. So far she has shown expertise in hole digging, and she has never met a stick she didn't like.

 11 weeks old and growing!

5 months old, about 60 pounds.

At 9 months she weighs about 95 pounds. She's still very much a puppy, but clearly knows that she is a guardian.

10 months old, and the picnic table is just the right size. Isn't she just the picture of "regal"?
